About this role
Toolramp is building the AI operating system for UK trades businesses.
We help repair, maintenance, and home service companies win more jobs, reduce admin, manage bookings, send quotes and invoices, take payments, and run their business more professionally from one place.
We are a young, fast-moving startup with a practical mission: make modern software simple, useful, and accessible for trades companies that are still managing too much through phone calls, WhatsApp, spreadsheets, and disconnected tools.
We are looking for a hands-on Online Marketing Manager to help us grow Toolramp through performance marketing and social media campaigns.
This is a part-time (30-40%) role for someone who knows how to plan, launch, manage, and improve paid campaigns across Google, Bing, and Meta platforms. You should be comfortable working independently, testing new ideas quickly, reviewing performance data, and making practical recommendations that improve lead generation and customer acquisition.
The role is ideal for someone with solid PPC and paid social experience who enjoys working close to the business, not just managing campaigns from a distance.
Tasks
Manage and optimise PPC campaigns across Google Ads and Microsoft Advertising, including keyword research, ad copy, campaign structure, bidding, landing page feedback, and performance tracking.
Plan, launch, and improve paid and organic social campaigns across Meta platforms, especially Instagram and Facebook.
Monitor campaign performance, identify what is working, and make clear recommendations to improve conversion rates, cost per lead, and customer acquisition efficiency.
Work closely with the founders to test messaging, offers, landing pages, and creative angles for UK trades businesses.
Support the development of simple reporting dashboards and weekly performance updates.
Help improve the connection between paid campaigns, website journeys, sign-up flows, and follow-up processes.
Bring ideas for new campaigns, audiences, creatives, and tests, while staying focused on practical execution and measurable results.
Requirements
Hands-on experience with Google Ads, ideally including search campaigns, conversion tracking, keyword optimisation, and campaign testing.
Experience with Microsoft Advertising / Bing Ads, or willingness to manage it alongside Google Ads.
Practical experience running paid campaigns on Meta platforms, especially Instagram and Facebook.
Good understanding of performance marketing metrics such as CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion rate, ROAS, lead quality, and funnel drop-off.
Ability to write and improve short-form ad copy.
Comfortable reviewing campaign data and explaining clearly what should change and why.
Hands-on, reliable, structured, and happy to work in an early-stage startup environment.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Based in or near Munich, with the ability to work from the office at least one day per week.
Experience marketing SaaS, marketplace, trades, construction, home services, or SME-focused products is nice to have.
Experience with Webflow, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, Hotjar, PostHog, or similar tools is nice to have.
Experience with landing page testing, conversion rate optimisation, or marketing attribution is nice to have.
Benefits
A flexible part-time role with real ownership over performance marketing.
The opportunity to help build and scale a startup from an early stage.
A practical, fast-moving environment with short decision paths.
Direct collaboration with the founding team.
The chance to shape Toolramp’s customer acquisition engine from the ground up.
This role is best suited to someone who enjoys doing the work, not just managing it.
We are looking for someone who can take real ownership of Toolramp’s online marketing activity across PPC and social media. You should be comfortable opening the ad accounts, reviewing the numbers, writing the ads, testing campaigns, spotting problems, and helping us improve week by week.
This is a role for someone who wants responsibility, not just tasks. You will own the topic, bring ideas, make recommendations, and help build a practical customer acquisition engine from the ground up.
If you are commercially minded, practical, data-driven, and excited by the idea of helping trades businesses run better, we would like to hear from you.
